Scott founded Spencer Riley in 2014 and has spent more than a decade building specialist recruitment businesses across multiple sectors. He developed conviction in Bitcoin’s long-term role as a corporate reserve asset and introduced a Bitcoin treasury strategy in 2021, years before XCE became a public company. Today, Scott leads XCE’s long-term strategy, recruitment growth, acquisitions, and Bitcoin treasury initiatives.

Expanded bio: Carlos Benito-Garcia is Chief Performance & Growth Officer at XCE, appointed to accelerate the growth of the group's Spencer Riley operation. Carlos brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across executive recruitment and global pharmaceuticals, including senior roles at GSK, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and IQVIA. His experience in building high-performance teams, scaling international businesses, and operating across complex global markets supports XCE's ambition to grow its recruitment platform, attract exceptional recruiters, and expand internationally.

Richard Byworth

Board Advisor

Board Advisor to XCE and Managing Partner at BYZ Partners. He has held senior roles across investment, liquid alternatives, digital assets, and Bitcoin-focused businesses. He is also publicly listed as a Board Member at Relai and Advisor at JAN3. Richard spent nearly two decades in investment banking, including as a Managing Director at Nomura, before becoming CEO of Nasdaq-listed digital asset company Eqonex, one of the few executives to have run both a major-bank trading business and a listed digital asset company. He is a board member at Relai and an advisor to JAN3.

Sam Roberts

Non-Executive Chairman of XCE and Director of Investment Consulting at Cartwright. A qualified actuary, Sam has advised institutions for more than 25 years.

Strategic Investor

Strategic Investor and Advisor to XCE, and Co-founder and CEO of Blockstream, one of the world’s leading Bitcoin infrastructure companies. A cryptographer and cypherpunk, Adam invented Hashcash, the proof-of-work system cited in the Bitcoin whitepaper, and is widely reported to be the first person Satoshi Nakamoto ever emailed. He is among the most influential figures in Bitcoin capital markets and an active investor in Bitcoin treasury strategies across public markets worldwide, including XCE.

Vijay Selvam

Non-Executive Director and Advisor to XCE, and Chief Legal Officer of Elektron Energy, a Tether-owned company. He is a legal and financial services expert with more than 20 years of experience. A lawyer and financial services expert, Vijay was previously at Goldman Sachs and is the author of Principles of Bitcoin.
